Fiction Ain't So Fun - Original work, oh wow
As my durr title states, yes, I do have an original series. I'm not sure if it'll ever go anywhere, but I do love my little brain child of a series. A comical twist on the whole befriending magical folk story.
The twist being the normal teenager is more capable in comparison to her magical friends, especially the werewolf.
Said teen, Addy Delinze to be exact, I just drew her ten years later as an experiment to see if I could age her. I felt like I was in a funk when it comes to her general Addy-ness. So I wanted to challenge myself and see if I could broaden her world a little.
It worked pretty well and gave me a few new ideas on what she'd be doing later on in her life.
Her and her werewolf bud. Arch, he's a clueless gypsy werewolf. Unlike the rest of his pack he's pretty easily distracted, silly and cuddly. He's the alpha's son, so he's the most babied out of the rest of wolves his age. His sister in comparison is a hard ass/badass werewolf. She's one of the few capable characters besides Addy within the story's context.
This is a side character, a vodoo priestess zombie. She has a southern drawl, enjoys toying with her friends lives for her own amusement and is flirty as hell. I tried to give her some character when you look at her, I wanted it to be obvious that she's a fun kind of character. (Obviously I took design notes vaguely from Junko Mizuno and Tim Schafer, I tried to put my own spin on it as well. ffft, hopefully that actually worked.)
More pictures to be added when I find them on my photobucket. I have more sketches of these characters lying around thankfully. I have the scan of Addy's red sheet laying around somewhere. Ach.
And I found the pictures, most excellent! Now for MOAR.
My attempt at bringing my characters into another style. Junko Mizuno's style to be exact. She's a managa-ka who draws morbid cute things. Said morbid cute things contain a lot of boobage a lot of the time.
This is pretty much Teen!Addy's ref sheet. I drew this primarily for myself so I'd have someone to look back on if I ever needed to describe Addy in more detail beyond 'She wore a scowl on her features.'
Pretty much all I have for now of Fiction Ain't So Fun character sketches/ect. I'm still working the kinks out of the whole idea, so fun times.
THRICE THE EDIT:
And for comparison, here are some older pieces I've drawn for this series:
This was an attempted 'cover' piece for the whole idea. Addy, Arch and Gal (A character left unmentioned earlier because I'm iffy over keeping her at all these days.)
This was my attempt to divide up various species I wanted in the story. I've chopped down the less than needed ones for the story in general. Blah. I'll stop editing this now, seriously.

Updates, you has dem
Because I can't write 'articles' all the time I offer arts. MAGICAL arts. If I remember too, I'll fill this poor blog up with doodle pages that I think are too random to put on to DA. (Practice-y things, like drawing feet, hands, faces, etc.)
Primarily rough sketches of finished pieces along with just random things. We'll see if I actually remember to update or not.
The finished piece: I added the background in via photoshop, it's a texture I found on DA along with a random blood brush I had handy in photoshop.
My 'ID'
Another step by step. Aka I have webcam pictures handy to show how I start out than finish.
And yes, I know, big step skips. But I usually don't think of photographing my art process step by step.
And to round it off, here is a rough sketch of Goofy. I haven't drawn him in YEARS. It shows in the first sketch, but the second with him scratching his head = my favorite by far. I'll have to try drawing Goofy again later. Maybe I'll actually draw him wearing his hat. Ffft.
